The Last 5 Years
July 18th - September 30th 2006
The Last 5 Years tells the story of Cathy and Jamie and their marriage. It is told from two angles: Cathy’s story travels backwards in time, from the end of their marriage to when they first met, and Jamie’s story traces the relationship from the beginning to its sad conclusion. The two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. The score is fantastic - lyrical ballads, soaring arias and folk songs tell this emotional and often comical story that has won itself such a loyal following.
‘Exciting, innovative and altogether inspiring’ – The Chicago Tribune
